This project involved site excavation and grading for a new townhouse development in Coquitlam, including the installation of storm, sanitary, and water services, as well as hydro, Telus, and Shaw conduits. The scope also included grading and paving of the site roadways.
The site presented logistical challenges due to limited space and multiple trades working simultaneously. Cancon successfully coordinated with all trades to maintain progress and keep the project on schedule throughout the construction period.
Additional challenges included groundwater infiltration from the north bank due to the sloped site conditions. Cut-off ditches and other water management measures were implemented to effectively control groundwater and maintain safe, productive working conditions throughout the project.
